In an effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus within our staff and students we are asking that all parents/guardians notify our Point of Contact nurse if a student is tested for COVID, someone in the house test Positive for COVID, or if there is someone in the house that has been exposed to a known positive case. In the event of testing of anyone in the household - students must remain at home until the results come back. Please contact POC Stacy Bright at 870-349-2657 ext. 210 or email sbright@bulldogs.k12.ar.us. This will allow us to take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Seniors: You will not need to be at school at 8:00 am on Monday 8/16, unless you are scheduled for a 1st period class. Follow your schedule as given to you during orientation. If you are scheduled for morning IGNITE, you must go to the college, as classes start at ASUN on Monday also. If you are scheduled to come in at a time other than 1st period, you must check-in at the office and report to your assigned classes.

Dear Patrons On Thursday August 12th the Jackson County School Board voted to follow the recommendation of Superintendent Chester Shannon to have a mandatory mask mandate for all students ages 2-12th grade. This recommendation was made based on the guidance given by the Arkansas Department of Health, the Arkansas Department of Education, the Center for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatricians. Once the level of infection has lowered the JCSD will consult with the ADH and the ADE to determine if it is safe to lift the mask mandate. The sole purpose and motivation in having this mask mandate is to protect our students, staff and to hopefully have as close to a normal year as possible. Your children, our students, need to be at school every day, they need to interact with each other, and they need extracurricular activities. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as we prepare for this school year. It is my hope and prayer that we all remain safe, our students have a great year learning, enjoying being with their classmates, and participating in school activities as it should be! Sincerely, Chester Shannon
