Baseball season has started! We opened our varsity season Monday by going to Marshall and coming away with a 6-0 conference victory. Luke Cross picked up the win by striking out 8 over 6 innings in his Bulldog debut. Bryce Herring, Bronx Holland, and Andy King all scored 2 runs. Caden Templeton had 2 RBI. The Bulldogs also triumphed over Sloan-Hendrix 3-1 on Tuesday night in a junior varsity contest. We return to the field on Thursday when we host Sloan-Hendrix for a varsity game at 4:30.

THS Quiz Bowl team took 1st place in Regionals and will move on to the State Tournament. Bronx Holland was named MVP and made the All-Tournament team. Such a wonderful accomplishment for these Students!

Our bulldog toddlers enjoyed the morning outside drawing with sidewalk chalk and playing in the leaves. ✌️❤️🐾
This week in preschool we are learning about hopping critters! We discussed the different insects and their characteristics such as size, legs, wings, and how far they can jump. In math we pretended we had 6 insects but the frog scared away 3 so how many were left? We used our number line to figure out the answer was 3!!!

The Jackson County School District will be closed Thursday, March 13th.
This includes both grades K-12 & the preschool. The last day of school will now be May 14th. The Sr. Boys Basketball team will be playing in the 2A State Championship at 1:45 pm. in Hot Springs.

This week in kindergarten the students are learning the correct names of 2D and 3D shapes and the attributes of each one. Students completed an attribute sorting activity where they sorted shapes in to groups of 2D and 3D. They will also discuss other ways 3D shapes can be sorted later this week.
SMS GT Chess team competed today at the Northeast Arkansas Educational Co-op.
