In JCSD PreK, we build some pretty amazing classroom families and these kids make some great friendships. 🐾❤️

FACS classes carved pumpkins today to celebrate Fall break & learn about a fun activity to do with their own children in the future!

In PreK we have been talking about compound words. They decoded and read their picture card.

Today, our sixth graders took on the role of detectives in a fun and engaging writing activity! They participated in a gallery walk around the classroom, where they identified and corrected run-on sentences that were posted around the room.

Congratulations to our first 6th graders to be 100% fact fluent in multiplication and division! Our students are working hard every day to become fact fluent!

We have been reading The Doorbell Rang and discussing how grandma brought an enormous tray of cookies for family and friends! Today the kids drew their favorite cookie!

No need for food because these Spanish Club members "ate" with their decorations of "Papel Picado."🇲🇽🌵
"Ate," in colloquial terms, is used as a positive expression, which means they did a good job.

6th grade has been working so hard the past couple of weeks learning about equivalent ratios. This week they were able to use their ratio skills to scale recipes down to 1 serving and up to 20 servings. We, of course, celebrated by eating some yummy recipes!
