The Jackson County School District has received a Facebook message containing screenshots which contain a possible threat to a school(it doesn't name a specific school in the text). We have compared it to a post that other schools have received and it is the same. If you are concerned, you may keep your students at home today and it will not count against their attendance. The safety of our students and staff is the biggest concern of the Jackson County School District.

This week in pre-K we have been talking about families. We've been talking about the types of jobs they do and what jobs each child helps do at home. In math we talked about comparison. Today we had a couple of friends from the child development class come and join us and we enjoyed their company.

The Tuckerman Campus has now been taken out of secure mode, this was a Tuckerman Campus only event. The local law enforcement has cleared and secured all the areas surrounding the school. Student will now go back to their normal daily school activities.

The Jackson County School District is in Secure Mode. This means the outside doors are locked and the students are being kept inside the buildings. This is due to a report of shots being fired in the area behind the food pantry. Law Enforcement on all local levels are investigating the matter. All steps to keep students & staff safe are being enabled.

This week we are discussing families. Today we drew pictures of our families and talked about jobs we help with at home. Also they chose a family member and we wrote about their job! In math we compared longer and shorter.

In Preschool we are discussing our family! In literacy, we talked about the people in our family and how many members we have. In math we discussed the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We then used our frog counters to divide them into 3 different groups according to size!
