4th grade practiced the metric system by measuring themselves using centimeters.









Kindergarten students in Mrs. Amanda's class have been working on identifying numbers 0-5 and being able to draw sets of objects to match a given number.






We love when Officer Corley comes to visit during recess!



We're learning about families this week. Toddlers put together their family pictures and glued them to paper. We learned some families only have one child, some have 2 or more, some have only brothers, some have only sisters and even some families have special family members that are no longer with us.







This week in pre-K we have been talking about open and closed shapes. We have also been talking about feelings. We've discussed how we have been feeling and what causes us to feel this way. We also demonstrated a straight line and then joined hands to make a circle to show open and closed shapes.





PreK has been building letters today! They are working hard on learning letters and letter sounds 🔤

ASU-Newport recruiters visited Tuckerman today to discuss admissions, financial aid and student life at ASUN with Seniors & Juniors.

JCSD School Board Meeting

The elementary Book Fair will be open this week through Friday, September 20th, for students to come during their library activity time. It will also be open Thursday night during parent/teacher conferences!💙📚🐛


Earlier this week the 2nd graders took advantage of the pretty weather and went outside to investigate habitats during science class.





The Junior class is currently selling Bulldog shirts to raise money for prom. Order forms are being sent home this week with elementary students or you may contact a member of the junior class to order. All orders and payments are due by September 20.


Today we were talking about closed and open shapes. The children were given AngLegs and made open and closed shapes.











Swifton preschool made open and closed shapes today.











2nd grade practiced measuring in centimeters by finding hidden pictures around the room and using their rules to measure!











The Jackson County School District is aware of the rumors circulating in the community. We have investigated the situation and have found no reason for immediate concern. JCSD takes the security of your children serious and will have extra security at the schools today as a precautionary measure.

THS Esports kicked off Fall season play with week 1 of pre season. THS won 3-0 against Newport. Team members are: Jax Welsh, Ryan Keller & Adrian Johnson.
There's still time to join. We play SMASH on Wednesdays and Mario Kart on Thursdays!


The Bulldog golf teams went to Eagle Mountain in Batesville. The girls played 9 holes while the boys played 18 holes. Taryn Sink carded a 38 to earn medalist for the girls and lead us to the team victory. On the boys side, there were three that had a round under 100. Andrew Nichols had an 84, Jordan Watson an 89, and Amare Neal had a 97. Taryn Sink and Jordan Watson both had an eagle on hole 18.
Tomorrow ‘s match at Village Creek has been cancelled due to the forecast for heavy rain. We will play our last regular season matches next Tuesday at Newport Country Club and Wednesday at Cooper’s Hawk in Melbourne. Our conference tournament will be Monday, September 23 at Turkey Mountain Golf Course in Horseshoe Bend. Go Bulldogs!
