in PreK We have talked about the shapes of the first letter in our names, and how some of the letters are made up of straight lines, some are curved lines, and some even have both! Today we felt for our letter using ony touch and feeling for the shape of our letter! The kids loved this!

This week in pre-K we learned about our bodies. We learned about the parts of our bodies, what they do, and about the receptors in our hands that help us to feel the textures of things we touch. We also learned about the top, middle, and bottom by folding our paper in half and drawing a self portrait with the head, body and feet in the correct area.

Earlier this week, the Bulldog golf teams went to Eagle Mountain in Batesville. The course was tough and the weather was hot but they managed to make it through. The girls team ended up only playing 9 holes and they were led by Taryn Sink who had a 45 for the medalist honors on the day. The boys team had a lot of tougher competition from higher classification schools, but managed to be within 8 strokes of comparable 2A schools . Amare Neal had the best round of the day followed closely by Kade Keton and Jordan Watson. We return to action after the Labor Day break on Tuesday when we go to Cooper’s Hawk in Melbourne to play 18 holes.

This week we have been studying about our body. In groups we labeled the body. We also talked about our shadows during recess. We also watched our pet Donatello.
